My dear fellow Democrats:
Well, we have ourselves in a fine fix don’t we?
The Republicans hold the White House and both houses of Congress.
A Republican occupies the statehouse in Frankfort for the first time in 750 years.
Dang I'm getting old cause I remember Louie Nunn. don't seem like 750 years ago
Louie Broady Nunn, (March 8, 1924-January 29, 2004) a native of Park in Barren County was Governor of Kentucky from 1967 to 1971. Nunn was the first and only Republican party elected governor of Kentucky subsequent from 1943 until Ernie Fletcher's election in 2003.
2003 - 1971 = 32 years
