............yes, my friends, suppose the following actually happens in the mid-term 2006 & the National 2008 election.

Since quite a few folks here believes the Republicans apparently can't get anything right.......suppose EVERY ..... yes, I mean EVERY seat in the House & Senate along with the Presidency gets occupied by ** O N L Y ** the democratic party.

Remember before you answer, only democrats will be power.

What would some of the accomplishments be during this scenario to "straighten" out our country?

Be specific please............see ya mark

You demonstrated were we are different by this thread.

1. You said power.
2. You give it all to one group.

We need 3 different parties, all with power equally distributed to ensure the balance that all the people of the USA will be equally represented. We really could use 4 parties.

We need to remove all lobbyist from DC. No one can meet with any organization or persons from outside of the area the represent.

That would be a start.

............I have a slight argument with your post, but only the 1st part. Where I disagree is.......if gov't has equal power as with 3 or more parties, rarely will anything get done. That was evident when the dems were in control of Congress & a Republican was Prez. It seemed as if the gov't was in some sort of a deadlock. The 2nd part talking about removing lobbyist we are in total agreement there.

Back to the scenario in the original post.

It is a scenario & since it is such, I would like to hear from all anti-Republicans ( or pro-democrat ) thinking about this topic. Since I'm one of the rare few that supports conservative thinking here, I'm curious as to what others think & hope they post their thoughts.............see ya mark

lol, I love picking an argument with you. You think things out.

But still I stand fast on a balance of power. It is what out system is based on. I am not pro democrat or republican. I like both.

I don't like Bush as a person. Has nothing to do with a party.

If they are all Republican or all democrat there is no balance of power. You listed branches of Government not Parties. Thought this was partisan question.

Mark, I would expect an exact opposite of what we have now with that shift of power. I don't want to see an all one sided Goverment. I like many thing the republican party bring to the table. I seek multiple parties with representation and equality for all.

Right now the only people that are represented are the rich.

Please define RICH
If you make a $1000.00 per week and live in NYC, are you rich?

Chuck

Not even close. The amount of money $1000 a week amounts to in tax breaks is only pennies.

Remember that 50% of the worlds wealth is controlled by 5% of the people. (Includes Oil Tycoons and Saudi Arabia. aka.. The Bush Family Fortune.)

Guessing these next figures from the last time I posted on it. Can't exactly remember but these are close.

70% is controlled by 40% of the people. (Wal mart Range and includes the above 5%)

30% is less than $5000 a week. (Small Business and the common man range)

$1000 a week is barley Middle Class and almost white collar.

I don't want to see a one sided gov't either. I'm merely giving those that believes in the democrats way of thinking a chance to get out their point of view. ( & it's not working )

So, here's my thoughts......

I think if we had 8 full years of the democrats **** we have now **** we would definitely come out the other end as a full blown socialist government.
1. I think ammunition for our guns would be restricted so bad only a few would be able to obtain it.

2. Handguns would of course be illegal to own.

3. Words like God and Jesus in public would be criminal. ( Seems like that's true now )

4. The ACLU would be so powerful they would possibly become the 4th branch of gov't. Yuk!

In other words, we might as well move to Russia and be a Chinaman. Also one more thing......We would quickly be evolving to a one world government run by the United Nations & I know that's not good.

Just some things to chew upon.............see ya mark

Republicans have only been in power for 5 whole years. It's not like you got a legacy thing happening here. LOL

what would happen if you took away the Rep. Dem. titles?

Chuck

It would just confuse the lobbyist to much.

hmm interesting thought chuck, no titles and people are confused...........could be possible that after they found their wits they might actually do some logical and critical thinking...................

People are not confused,, only lobbyist. The ones running around Congress and are paid $750 an hour to get a party vote for their way.

...............I've been watching this thread for about a week now &.....

Here's my thought......

I believe most of the dems on the various other forums I visit & in Washington today wants to criticize, rant & rave, but, offer no solutions to help America. It doesn't matter whether one likes Bush or not...at least he speaks out for what he believes in.

I don't see that in the dems.

Why it's simple......they have N O plan to help America.

So why elect them???...............see ya mark

Like Lewis Black once said: “The Republican Party is a party of bad ideas. The Democratic Party is a party of no ideas.” Or something like that.

that is a pretty good statement tk, seems like political brains just seem to lose their power to think logically once they get elected into office. mark, i do have to wonder how much Bush is playing us for fools. I still wonder how things would go if there were no Dems or Rep. Just a government body with the American citizens best interest in mind. It is like how I wonder how all job applications did not have a space for male, female or race on them, just pick the person who is best qualified for the job.....................i know, i know i am dreaming and this is not the perfect world we wished we lived in.
