Police say a hidden camera a former UK basketball player installed at his Mason County business is providing some very useful information in the search for suspects in several burglaries.
Allen Feldhaus says someone broke into his business, the Kenton Station Golf Course in Maysville eight times last year - nearly every week during October and November. Feldhaus says the burglars got away with liquor and cigarettes, but also left some property damage.
"You walk in to open up in the morning and you see it and you say, 'Oh no, not again,'" said Feldhaus. After a while, you want them to get caught. It's unbelievable someone has the nerve to keep on doing that."
The Maysville police department helped Feldhaus, whose son Darren is co-owner of the business and also played basketball at UK, install a hidden camera to try and catch the thieves. Officials say they've received several calls since the surveillance video was released.
