Are you planning on going out on New Year's Eve.
Does Maysville have the entertainment that would make you go out and party?
Some stay home and watch TV, while others just go to bed early.
How 'bout you?

I would love to go out to a good party! Know any, Ponto?
But with 4 kids ages 3-12 finding a babysitter ain't easy. The sitter rates have gone up since I was doing it. (I made $3 an hour, now they want $5 an hour PER kid!)
So staying home is our plans...

Gonna play some cards with my teenager, hopefully I will also find a page turner to curl up with, eat lots of junk food, think about all great experiences I have had in the past year.
And If I am lucky, I will talk my oldest into learning how to play Rook.

I'm planning on staying home and enjoying being with my family. Before I go to bed I will pray that God looks after each and everyone so they can have a safe trip home. Please don't drink and drive. Call a cab or have a designated driver. Nothing wrong with partying just don't risk killing yourself or someone else. God Bless and everyone have a safe and happy new year.

As some of you may know, I manage at deSha's, but when I leave at 10:00 pm Saturday night, I'm picking up my wife and heading down to the VFW, Maysville Post 2734 for a little relaxation, eating and dancing to the music of 2 Way Street. It's not time square, or madison square garden, but is enjoyable.

O'Rourke's Pub in downtown Maysville will have a live D.J. beginning at 8 p.m. Saturday.
Pub owner Norbert Gallenstein said there will be free food such as sandwiches, chips and dip available to guests. He said party favors and champagne will also be available to celebrate the new year.
There is no charge, and customers must be 21 to enter the pub.

That's great advice! I hope everyone listens to it this New Year.
I myself will be at home, unless someone dosen't take the advice quoted above, and my pager goes off around 2:00 in the morning, which is usually the case on New Years night.
Leroy, Thanks for the years of service to the community! Take a rest, you've earned it.

I will be going to the Pea Ridge Community Church in Fleming Co. They are having a watch night service. There will be a lot of singing and prasing God. Can't think of a better way to welcome in the New Year. Starts at 8:oo. Come and praise the Lord.
