MAYSVILLE – Dorothy A. Bristow, 81, of Wood Street, passed away 9:30 AM Sunday morning at her son James’ residence. She was the widow of Clifford Bristow who died in 1988.
She was born January 5, 1924 in Mason County to the late Reese Davis and Nancy Jane Catron Beckett.
Dorothy was a member of the Lewisburg Baptist Church and Senior Friends.
She is survived by 2 sons James L. Daniels, Jr. of Maysville and his fiancée Shirley Danner, Rick Daniels and his wife Sherry of Maysville; 2 daughters Ruth Hay of Aberdeen OH and Jane Hunt and her husband Gary of Maysville. She also leaves 15 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and 9 great great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by a son Steve Daniels who died Oct 30, 1992; 2 brothers Roy Beckett, Thomas Edison Beckett; 4 sisters Ruth Pugh, Mary Wallace, Irene Dugan, Nora Moreland; her half brother Phillip Ray Beckett; 3 half sisters Linda Beckett, Glenda Beckett Beatrice Beckett and a step sister Dorothy Morgan.
Services for Dorothy Bristow will be held 1 PM Wednesday December 21, 2005 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Harry Brooks officiating. Interment will be in the Washington Baptist Cemetery.
Calling hours will be after 5 PM Tuesday at the funeral home.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Joe Dugan, Jr., Allen Dugan, Calvin Dugan, John Dugan, Rick Brown and J.B. Workman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Tony Hay, Kyle Moran, Brit Combess and Nathan Combess.
