A pet supply store in the wal-mart shopping center has closed it's doors.

Does anyone know why?

I was there the day before they closed. It was odd, I walked in and there were no birds, no ferrets, no bunnies, no fish. I jokingly said, well business sure is booming here! And the manager informed ,me that they were closing their doors here in Maysville the next day! Boy, was I shocked!! He then told me that all the animals had been shipped to other store locations around the state. When I asked why they were closing, he simply said that sales were not high enough, and head quarters shut them down.
I want to know how in the world they got out of a 12 month lease.
It is hard enough to get in one of those stores, much less cancel the lease before it is up.
I hope a John Deere store comes to town soon, cause who else would rent a store painted in yellow and green? (he he he)

I would say that they would probably still have to pay for the rest of their lease. Look at Wal-Mart, they still have a lease on the old building.

i wonder why they didn't notify the public that they were shutting down. They had enough time if they had time to ship the animals off. At least a little notice would have been nice.

...................if you don't make any money, you don't stay. I'd say the lease rates out there are way too high for them to survive..........see ya mark
