Clark Sheriff's Deputy Ricky Estes said police recovered a 12-inch butcher knife under the driver's seat, along with three bottles of Mogen David 20/20 wines -- popularly known as Mad Dog. Two of the bottles were empty.
Police also found rotted deer meat and Vienna sausage in the van. It appeared Waters had been living there, Estes said.
"We hated to search it, but we had to," he said.
Waters refused sobriety tests and was subdued by several officers.
