It seems more and more people think that the U.S. should mind it’s own business in world affairs. A new poll shows that 42% think that the U.S. should quit sticking its nose in other country’s business. Most Americans believe the US has lost respect in the world and that its image is declining, primarily due to Iraq and the conduct of the war on terrorism. Too bad our very own government didn’t read what our founding fathers said. Never stick your nose in another country’s business. Another tidbit, 84 % said protecting American jobs should be a foreign policy priority. Hmmm. Another thing the founding fathers mentioned, trade only with friends. But we have some of the most arrogant politicians in the world and they are leading this country to a massive collapse. And we the people are allowing it. Wait and see. I bet more than 90% of these bozos that run will get re-elected next year.

The Sky is Falling
(so worried the man from Qi.)
Once there was a man from Qi, who was worried about falling sky and sinking earch.
A friend, worried about his worrying, came to calm him.
He said to the man, "The sky is all air, nothing but air. As you inhale and exhale, and breathe air into the sky all day long, there is no need to worry about falling sky."
The man then asked, "So the sky is just air. Then what about the Sun, the Moon and the stars falling from the sky?"
He replied, "These are only twinkling objects of air. Even if they fall, they won't hurt you."
The man continued, "What about sinking earth?"
He replied, "The earch is made up of solid blocks of earth, which filled up all spaces. There are no empty spaces. If you stamp you feet on the ground all day, the earth will not sink."
Hearing this, the man is very happy. The friend is very happy.

What is the moral of this story?
The man is worried needlessly. His friend calmed him with faulty explanations. Should you worry?

No, Really, Americans are the leading supplier of overseas jobs. With out America these other countries would go out of business. That is fact.
The money that is funding terrorism is all supplied by the American need for oil.
Reality check is that if we quit buying foreign oil, quit outsourcing our jobs we would have more money in the USA and less money funding terrorist.

Why Don't Americans Care?
Do you know who Halliburton is? Dick Cheney? How about Karl Rove? Alas, Most Americans Don't
By Mark Morford
Let's be honest. Percentage-wise, few people in America really give much of a crap about what's going on in the hallowed halls of politics and power.
This is what we in the media and maybe you in the media-consuming audience tend to forget far too easily: This country is simply jam-packed with millions of people who have no time for, or interest in, politics, or media, or environmental policy, or education, or global issues, or which presidential candidate lied his *** off about which aspect of his military career and which Orange Alert is totally bogus and how many soldiers are dying for what imbecilic war.
It seems hard to believe. But the general rule of thumb is that major cities are slightly more attuned due to aggressive media saturation and how issues tend to make themselves known more urgently, more immediately, whereas Middle America is a scattershot conglomeration of the politically apathetic and the actively disenfranchised, full of people far too busy with their lives and kids and jobs and zoning out on "Fear Factor" and "Monday Night Football" to care about following the elitist, ever dire dramas playing out on the nation's gilded stages.
Most Americans, in other words, have no idea what the **** a Halliburton is. Or a Karl Rove. Or a Donny "Shriveled Soul" Rumsfeld. Or a Lockheed Martin. Or a Carlysle Group. Or have any idea that Saddam had nothing whatsoever to do with 9/11. Or that WMDs were never found. Or that President Bush has taken more vacation time than any president in U.S. history. Or that Jesus thinks Dubya is "sort of a dink." Or where Iraq is on a map.
Fact is, in the past decade, TV-news ratings -- cable and network, combined -- has shrunk to a fraction of its former numbers. Newspaper subscriptions have been either flat or dropping for just about as long. Newsmagazines, radio, historical nonfiction: flat or dropping fast. Even the Internet, that vast teeming customizable firestorm of news and info streaming in from all over the planet, even the awesome Net draws far more people to its porn and gossip and shopping departments than any e-news joint could ever wet dream.

That Morford guy pretty much sums up what I’ve been saying. The people don’t care. Even the ones that lost their jobs to “Globalization” keep putting these clowns back in office. I can’t figure out why the people choose to ignore what these bunch of thieves are doing. And when this country goes under, I bet these same voters turn on each other instead of the lying politicians that caused it. Jeeze.
