Ok linux gurus: What's your take on this book? Worth it? Not? Next year I'm going to try my hand again, on getting MS free, so I'll be going for this book, IF it's worth it.

Any book on hardening any operating system is really only valid up until about 6-8 months prior to the books published date. This doesnt mean the book is useless, just that you can only use the principals of hardening linux that are offered in this book. If you really want to know how to harden linux, sign up for the upcoming class being offered through the MLUG - http://www.maysville-linux-users-group.org

If you want to see how hardened your linux system is, pm me for a security audit (which I will do for free for personal use systems). I can also offer assistance for hardening a system that you wont find in any books.
