Of Woods And Waters:

A Kentucky Outdoors Reader edited by Ron Ellis has just been released by the University Press of Kentucky.

Bringing together fiction, nonfiction, and poetry from many of the state’s most famous writers, Of Woods and Waters collects the written and visual experiences of Wendell Berry, Bobbie Ann Mason, Barbara Kingsolver, Thomas D. Clark, Jesse Stuart, James Still, Harriette Arnow, Harry Caudill, Silas House, George Ella Lyon, and Robert Penn Warren, among many others. A number of the pieces are original to this volume, which also includes art by Harlan Hubbard, Rick Hill, and Paul Sawyier.

This follow up story to a previous BBS post is an excellent article by JONATHAN FRAYSURE Staff Writer for the Ledger.

An upcoming book release features an entry from a local man, a special contribution to his love of the outdoors.

Of Woods and Waters: A Kentucky Outdoors Reader is a collection of essays, fiction, memoirs and poetry, as well as illustrations, inspired by outdoor life in Kentucky, with contributions by Daniel Boone, Robert Penn Warren and Jesse Stuart, among others.
