The Maysville Conference Center opened Friday evening to give the public a sneak peek at what has been going on behind closed doors.
The facility has technical amenities including wireless Internet service.
Technical support for the audio visual and networking capabilities are provided by TCS Services.

I read in the paper that maysville has people who knows how to rebuild old buildings. But it seems they only refurbish older buildings they chhose to use for themselves. The City of Maysville needs to get on the landlords who owns run down buildings that can be used for housing of homeless people and not worry about how much the city can get out of it.

Thanks Ponto.
We are doing the audio visual as well as the internal network. The Internet access is provided by Limestone Cable as far as I know.

This is actually funds made by tourism and not from our local taxes. I can see gambling boats here some day possibly. The conference center was needed for a different purpose. If used properly in conjunction with other resources we have in the area, like the museum for example, local businesses should see an increase in tourist type sales.
Ruby, Maysville workers have some real talent. That is fact. I know the workers well enough to say they would like to do a homeless shelter.
You really have to be patient to see homeless shelters come about. Then you need to find someone to fund them. It takes people motivated toward that goal to come forward.

Yes, homeless shelters is a great thing and is needed and yes, it does take money.
I also think an assistant living facility is badly needed for this area too.
If the city hadn't messed up, there probably would be one now in the old Hayswood Hospital building. I would like to see one of these facilities come about this coming year if possible.
But most of the government's grant money has priorities messed up. Opera Theatre is nice, but the two above things I mentioned to me, should come first.
Thanks for letting me give my opinion. Everyone have a good day!
