On September 7th, 2003, President Bush announced on national television that he was asking the Congress to grant him an additional $87 billion dollars for the fiscal year, beginning October 1, 2004, to continue the fight on terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.

But $87 billion is an impossibly high number for anyone to visualize. Let's have a look....

.............I'm the 1st one who screams about pork spending, however, since our boys are already there & this equips them, IMO.......I allow it to stand.

But................if it's a spending bill for things here in the U.S, I'll scream again regardless if its a Republican or democrat............see ya mark

Lot of money there. 300 billion bux and our kids still have to buy their own body armor. Bases are still closing. sure glad we didn't have to take on a bigger country.

Hey but Iraq should clean up nice...

Did I mention we are still afraid on terrorism.

The whole thing has been nothing but waste...waste of lives, waste of money, waste of natural resources...and it will accomplish nothing. Every civilization, culture, or society known to man is the direct result of the mythology that the people have embraced. The best thing that could happen will be when the ice caps finally melt to the point that the whole of the Middle East will be under water.
