Four Mason County Band members were selected to perform at the Lexington Legends game at Applebee's Park in Lexington, Kentucky.

On June 14th, eighth graders Kendrick Applegate (trumpet) and Kyle Maddox(trombone) and freshman twins Amanda (trumpet) and Megan Earhart (French horn) performed the Star-Spangled Banner before the Legend's home game, under the direction of Mason County Middle School Band Instructor, Scott Reed.

Each member of the quartet received a commemorative plaque from the staff at Applebee's Park.

The four musicians are also members of the 2005-2006 Mason County Marching Royals under the direction of John Merz.

I am extremely proud of these four students. They sounded awesome and were excellent representatives of not only Mason County Band and school system but of our community as well.
These kids worked very hard in rehearsals preparing for the performance.
I realize alot of folks dont care about the band or the kids that are involved but as for me, I sure am a very PROUD BAND MOM!
