MAYSVILLE – Goldie L. Bothman, 73, of Valley View, died at 6:10 am Sunday, May 15, 2005 at Maysville Nursing and Rehabilitation Facility.
Mrs. Bothman attended the Church of God, Hillsboro, OH. Throughout her life, Lucky Stride/U.S. Shoe, Maysville, employed her. She retired from Copeland Corporation, West Union, OH.
She was born October 14, 1931 in Maysville to the late Walter and Ethel Fryman of Hillsboro, OH. She was preceded in death by her husband Earl Ray Bothman, her daughter Ethel Bothman Porter, and her brother Walter Fryman Jr. of Hillsboro, OH. Two sons Earl Ray Bothman, Jr. and Troy A. Bothman both of Maysville and one son-in-law Carl E. Porter of Maysville survive Mrs. Bothman. Seven grandchildren also survive her: Carl E. (Jennifer) Porter, Jr. of Long Island, NY; Chasity L. Bothman of Atlanta, GA; Nikki (Jordan) Branham of Versailles, KY; Stephanie R. (Scott) Thacker of Mt. Sterling, KY; Megan A. Bothman of Maysville, KY; Amber L. Bothman of Maysville, KY; Jessica R. Bothman of Aberdeen, OH. Mrs. Bothman also has 3 great grandchildren. Mrs. Bothman leaves behind five sisters: Carrie Manning, Mildred Johnson, Betty Miller, Rosie Burress, and Lily Whiting.
Services for Mrs. Bothman will be held at 1pm Thursday, May 19th at Brell & Son Funeral Home, Maysville, with Pastor John Maggard officiating. Visitation will be after 6pm Wednesday and 1 hour before the service Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Maysville Cemetery.
Pall Bearers for Goldie Bothman are Ray Bothman, Troy Bothman, Carl Porter, Carl Porter Jr., Jerry Dixon, and Harry Holsinger. Honorary Pall Bearers are Jordan Branham, Donnie Waldren, Brian Moran, Jeff Bothman, and Jack Miller.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Goldie Bothman, to your favorite charity.

I am so sorry to hear about Goldie passing away. It is so sad because her daughter passed away about the time that my son did. They have always lived in the subdivision that we do. Troy grew up with my kids. They were all very good friends. You will be in my prayers because i know how hard it is to lose a Mom and a son. Cathy Grey
