MAYS LICK – Mr. Claude Burdette Poole, 74, of Nepton Road, formerly of Lewis County, passed away Saturday February 26, 2005 at Fleming County Hospital. Born in Cincinnati, OH on March 30, 1930 he was the son of the late Kennard Burdette and Ida Mae Price Poole. Besides his parents, two brothers Pat Poole and Billy Joe Poole also preceded him in death.
Claude was a retired farmer and fur buyer, and he was well known to all on the Mason and Fleming County Farmers Markets for the past 30 years where he sold vegetables.
Claude resided with his daughter Mary Moore and son-in-law Allen Moore of Mays Lick, where he enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending quality time with his close family and friends.
He is also survived by three additional daughters Linda Poole of Maysville; Emma Banks, Fairborn, OH; Betsy Deborde of Fairborn, OH; a son Claude Burdette Poole, Jr. of Fairborn, OH. Also surviving are two sisters Shirley (Don) Thomas of Maysville, Marion (widow of Harry) Thomas of Aberdeen, OH. and a brother Pete (Marie) Poole of Indiana. Claude had eight grandchildren Lisa Moore, Donna Moore, Sammy Ballard, Jr., Jesse Ballard, Lee Ann Dunkin, Donnie Whitt, Jr., Billy Whitt, Anna Lee Poole and 9 great grandchildren.
Services for Claude Poole will be held 2 PM Thursday March 3, 2005 at Brell & Son Funeral Home with the Reverend Carl McCann officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Rectorville. Visitation will be after 5 PM Wednesday at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Danny Butler, Darrell Doyle, Jr., Sammy Ballard, Paul Waller, Jesse Ballard and Shane Coy. Honorary Pallbearers will be Raben Hicks, Brandon Waller, Adrian Moore and Darrell Doyle, Sr.

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of Claudie. I wish I could have been with you all in your time of need. If there is ANYTHING that we can do to help out in your time of sorrow, please do not hesitate to call me. He was a great man and will be missed by many.
