If it is good size...I use about a cup of BBQ or alittle more if you like to have a stronger taste. And water ....yes to cover....and i always use the "cheapie" BBQ
because, I do my own "doctoring-up"...lol
You can also use this with deer-backstrap and it comes out real good....ok ummm
I am getting hungry...lol

Okay!
Take the roast and put it in a Reynolds clear cooking bag, set in a baking dish or rectangle cake pan, pour in about 4 to 8 ounces of water (depending on size of roast), open bag wide and pour a package of lipton onion soup mix on top of pork (if cooking a small roast use half the packet). I don't cut slits in the bag like the package says to release steam. Instead I just don't close the top real tight. Roast in oven on 350 degrees until meat thermometer inserted in middle registers 170 to 180 degrees (for a small roast about 2 hours). Make gravy with the drippings in the bag.
I make this roast for a large gathering ever year around Christmas and it always gets rave reviews and it is so easy.

coolmom...tried your BBQ pork roast tonight and it was a hit with the family! Fried potatoes, corn on the cob, homemade cole slaw and cornbread completed the meal. Definitely a repeat meal!!!
Thanks again for sharing it with me!!

Take the roast and flour, salt and pepper on each side. Put in skillet and brown on both sides. Put Potatoes, onions, and carrots in bottom of crock pot. Put roast over top of veggies when it is browned. Add 1 can of cream of mushroom soup, and 1 can of French onion soup. Pour over roast and add 1 can of water. Put crock pot on high and cook until done. Makes own gravey.

Dear annieap, When pork loins are on sale, I take one half of the loin and have it sliced and the other half I bake. I used to pour about a 1/2 cup of minced garlic, kosher salt and lemon juice over the roast and cook in a 325 degree oven until fork tender. Now (I guess I am getting lazy), I buy a large bottle of Italian dressing and pour that over the roast with about 3 or 4 tablespoons of garlic. This is really a Spanish dish and is great served with yellow rice and black beans.
