MAYSVILLE – Ethel Bothman Porter, 55, of Valley View, lost her battle with Breast Cancer at 2:55 am Saturday, January 8, 2005 at University of Kentucky Albert B. Chandler Medical Center, Lexington.
Mrs. Porter attended the Church of God, Hillsboro, OH. She was a graduate of Maysville High School, and co-owned Town and Country Truck Repair with her husband Carl. Throughout her life Ethel also co-owned C. P. Express, Inc. with her husband Carl, worked for 9 years at the Goodyear Tire Center and was a Real Estate Agent for Cecil Beckett Realtors.
She was born March 7, 1949 in Maysville to the late Earl Ray Bothman and Goldie Fryman Bothman of Maysville. Besides her mother she is survived by her husband of 37 years, Carl E. Porter, son Carl E. (Jennifer) Porter, Jr. and his children Carl E. Porter, III and Kathleen Elizabeth “Katie” Porter all of Long Island, NY; daughter Christina Nicole “Nikki” (Jordan) Branham and her daughter Samantha Marie Branham all of Versailles, KY; 2 brothers Earl Ray Bothman, Jr. and Troy Bothman both of Maysville, KY, as well as 5 nieces.
Services for Mrs. Porter will be held at 2 pm Tuesday, January 10th at Brell & Son Funeral Home Maysville with Pastor John Maggard officiating. Visitation will be after 5 pm Monday and 1 hour before the service Tuesday at the Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Maysville Cemetery.
Pall Bearers for Ethel Porter are Ray Bothman, Troy Bothman, Woodrow Porter, Kevin Patterson, Brian Moran and Jeff Allison.
In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Ethel Porter, to your favorite charity.
