MAYSVILLE – William P. Cropper, 89, formerly of Washington, passed away at his Masonic Home Residence in Louisville at 4:45 PM on Sunday December 26, 2004 in the presence of his beloved family. He was the caretaker for 45 years of St. Patrick Cemetery in addition to a City of Maysville electrical inspector prior to his retirement. His parents Thomas and Anna Fay Cropper of Fleming County, his brothers Alec, Jim and Tommy, and his sister Mary Lawrence preceded him in death.
Mr. Cropper is survived by his loving wife Mary Estill Cropper, children Margaret Campisano (Sam), Pat Cropper, Helen Prather (Jerry), Leo Cropper (Ingrid), Andy Cropper (Patti), Karen Scales (Doug), and Barbara Brown (Chuck). He is also survived by 18 grandchildren: Camy, Mike, Paula, Donna, Linda, Sonya, Cindy, Stacie, Jason, Sara, Adam, Brad, Jennifer, Michael, Sam, Krissie, Devon and Teresa; and 10 great grandchildren.
His funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM Wednesday December 29, 2004 at Saint Patrick’s Catholic Church in Maysville with the Very Reverend William Hinds and Deacon Frank Estill Officiating. Burial will be in St. Patrick Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM Tuesday with Rosary at 7:30 PM at Brell & Son Funeral Home in Maysville.
